Carl Pei Launches Nothing, a Consumer Electronics Brand

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei launches his new venture Nothing. Yes, Nothing is a London-based consumer tech brand focusing on consumer technology.

It is noteworthy that Tony Fadell, Kevin Lin and even internet icons like Casey Neistat have helped Nothing to raise its Seed funding of over $7 Million in late 2020 (December)!

Carl Pei left OnePlus in October 2020 and then in December 2020 he announced that his new venture Nothing has already got a seed funding.



“It’s been a while since anything interesting happened in tech. It is time for a fresh breeze of change,” said Carl Pei at the press release. He also added “Nothing’s mission is to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future. We believe that the best technology is beautiful, yet natural and intuitive to use. When sufficiently advanced, it should fade into the background and feel like nothing.”

At this point in time, Nothing has announced regarding any product or research portfolio with the potential audience. But, looking at the hints from its investors and marketing team, it should be heading towards multiple hardware and software products for its potential audience.
