iPhone 14 May Arrive with Always On Display

Apple iPhone users are waiting for the always-on display feature in their beloved smartphones. This could be true as the latest iOS 16 was showcased in Apple’s recent event WWDC 2022  Keynote(stands for Worldwide Developers Conference). The latest iOS 16 update will bring a long list of awaited features on iPhones – including better notifications, better lock screen customization, and many new security and usability updates.

In rumors, the ProMotion display planned to be used in iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models will have the option to take down the display refresh rates as low as 1Hz. That might help the always-on-display functionality become a reality without making a significant impact on the iPhone’s battery life.

Not only that! If you have used any Android phone with the always-on-display functionality, you would have noticed that the clock you put on the always-on display has the option to become your active screen lock. That means the clock and another widget you put on your lock screen might keep appearing when the always-on display is activated. Take a look at this picture (provided by Apple), it clearly shows that the clock and screen widgets will take their own sweet positions in order to make the always-on-display look perfect on iPhone 14 models once the iOS 16 update goes live.

Some tech journalists have also made bold claims that the Code of iOS 16 is hinting at the always-on-display feature to be debuted on iPhone’s new models. However, the older generation iPhones and iPhone 14 might not get this feature as the variable display refresh rate is expected to come for ProMotion displays only.

Let the September 2022 Apple launch event arrive, we will get the confirmation on the same, soon.
