Well, recently Instagram has been implementing new updates on the app that will affect the ranking and engagement on the platform.

When creators upload content from other platforms on Instagram Reels, the resolution gets affected. Also, the watermark makes its way onto the platform. In the case of TikToks, you can always see that there is a permanent watermark attached to it.
Instagram head told in the tweet that the platform wants users to get full credits for what they create on the platform. Thus this new algorithm will help rank the original content better on the platform. So, if you are a content creator, create original content on Instagram Reels. To save time, you can also repurpose the content. However, if you wish to, do not try to upload the same piece again on different platforms & make the necessary changes.
