If you are an avid Twitter user, you might have seen the new update on your timeline. The Twitter app now has a new feature where users can pin the Latest Tweets on their timelines.
Well, in the last couple of weeks, Twitter made sure that the users will not see the latest tweets by default and that they will see more recommended content on the platform. That simply means you saw a lot of tweets with a heading that your connection follows this person and this is recommended content for you more often on your timeline.
Adding the latest tweet tab
Well, previously, you had an ability where you can see, if you want to see the top tweets first or if you want to see the latest tweets first. But now, Twitter has introduced an option on the iPhone app, where users can pun the latest tweets section on the timeline.
Here is an update shared by the Twitter Support team on their platform:
The Home and Latest timelines are now just a swipe away for everyone on iOS, and soon on Android and web.

Once done, you will be able to shuffle between the latest tweets and the top tweets on the main feed like this:
Various social media platforms are trying to make sure that their users spend more time on their apps, by watching more relevant content on the platform for longer times. Better retention and attention is the key strategy to winning the internet competition.
We have seen in the past that apps like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok have made sure that they add subtle features. That makes sure the users stay on the platform longer. Now, twitter’s new approach also seems to head in the same direction. Twitter also gave a feature recently where people can adjust video playback speed on the platform.
