Zoom Now Lets Users Use Virtual Avatar For Their Online Meetings

Zoom introduces a new feature where users will be able to use avatars in their online meetings. In a recent blog post by the company, Zoom claimed that now users can use various animals that will also mimic the facial expressions and movements on the screen.

Currently, the avatars are limited, but Zoom will keep updating this feature and get more avatars on the platform for its users. Zoom is aiming to make the platform more entertaining and wants to reduce the Zoom fatigue effect for the users.

We all have experienced that due to the hybrid working culture, many of us have to appear in front of the camera all the time. That means features like avatars will be able to give us some rest from showing our faces all the time.

Apps like Snapchat and Instagram Reels are already leading the space where people can try various avatars and filters on their faces to look like animals and even superheroes. But, this is the first time a corporate-aimed application will implement something like this. From using this feature in team building activities to having light communication sessions on the platform, this feature will become very useful.

The avatar feature will also support the virtual background feature on Zoom while using the app. So users can customize both their avatars and backgrounds at the same time without any issues. We know that video calling and video conferencing are going to stay in our lives. Thus, such features will be able to make things lighter and less stressful for every one of us.

Zoom is kind leading the video conferencing space with some great margins and to stay on top of the ecosystem, it would need to act faster with such features of the avatar to make users happy and retain them on the platform.
