Google Joins McLaren to Promote Chrome and Android

Google and McLaren signed a multi-year partnership where Google will promote its popular product in the F1 championship with McLaren. Google’s product logos will appear on McLaren’s F1 car and other collaborations.

In a press release, McLaren also announced that they will use Android 5G smartphones and the Google Chrome browser to manage their operations. Android and Chrome branded stickering will also appear on the engine cover and wheel covers for the MCL36 Formula 1 race cars, and on their racers (Lando Norris & Daniel Ricciardo) helmets starting the 2022 Formula 1 season.

Zak Brown also added, “We’re looking forward to an exciting partnership that spans across Formula 1 and Extreme E.” This means we will see Google making strategic partnerships with McLaren in other sporting activities as well.

The partnership was also shared via their social media posts and fans gave great reactions to the Google X McLaren collaboration.

The 2022 Formula 1 season is starting on 18th March with the first GP taking place on March 20 in Bahrain. It will be fun to see McLaren cars with Google Chrome logos on the Wheels!
