Tata Punch based on ALFA Architecture Unveiled, Launching Soon

Tata unveiled its new SUV Tata Punch based on the Alfa platform. The SUV shares its platform with Tata’s Altroz and sits below Tata Nexon in the product lineup.

Earlier, the audience caught the car in testing on Indian roads.  Back in Auto Expo 2020, Tata presented its concept H2X (HBX) in their SUV lineup. Now, the project has its official name Tata Punch and Tata is launching it soon for the Indian audience.

Mr. Shailesh Chandra – President of, the Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, at Tata Motors also said “Tata PUNCH, as the name suggests is an energetic vehicle with a capability to go anywhere. Light on its feet and strong in its caliber, this is a vehicle that truly punches above its weight. With the perfect combination of stunning design, technology, and driving dynamics, the PUNCH will come equipped with superlative features and an architecture that has proven its versatility in all forms. True to the SUV genes of all Tata Motors’ products and catering to the needs of customers who are looking for a compact city car with pure SUV characteristics, PUNCH will be the fourth addition to our SUV family, widening the range of options for all to choose from”



Tata Punch will have a high-seating position and dynamic body structure to appeal to the younger audience looking for a compact yet fun-to-drive vehicle for their daily and occasional highway drive.

Punch is the first SUV developed on Tata’s ALFA-ARC. Altroz shares the same platform as Tata Punch.
